Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Liliana Bodoc
Liliana Bodoc was a native of Santa Fe, Argentina. In a short literary career, she produced several novels that attracted wide and favorable attention.
“Yellow” dates from 2004, when it appeared in the children’s book Sucedió en colores, which contains short stories with colors as titles. In “Yellow,” an ominous oracular warning comes to emperor Ye-lou in the form of a nightmare. Oracular pronouncements are typically ambiguous, and the one Ye-lou receives is no different. He doesn’t stop to ponder its possible meaning, and the result is a cautionary tale about megalomania and paranoia.
