Jason Frederick Myers

Jason lives in South Carolina, where he has always been a fan of mystery and horror. He has work included in a forthcoming anthology of “monster stories.”

“Cade’s War” will initially amuse readers somewhat with the martial and combat fantasies of the young Cade, although readers may wonder a bit about Cade’s grandfather’s insights into the youngster’s imagination. But then, when Cade grows up, so does his fantasy. He is left with an ancient dualistic worldview where existence is trapped in eternal conflict between good and evil, light and dark, the material and the spiritual, and so forth. If Cade is expected to maintain a “balance,” he has his work cut out for him.
