“Reset” tackles a number of major science-fiction themes at once: a post-apocalypse society complete with impending human extinction, the evolution of artificial intelligence, and human-android relations. Readers will be drawn into the characters’ emotional conflicts and may reach various conclusions about the wisdom of programming androids to think and feel like humans.
