Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Susan Thomas
Susan is originally from Toronto but has been living in Australia for many years. Early years, when Susan could visit a relative in Niagara Falls, give her the experience to write a kind of paean to the natural wonder in her favourite genre: stories replete with ghosts or other scary apparitions.
“A Haunting at Bridal Veil Falls” brings in a literal but ghostly bridal veil to haunt Sarah, who has just married a widower, Michael. The couple are married one morning and spend the rest of the day taking tours and seeing the sights around Niagara Falls. But readers needn’t worry; we find out later that Sarah and Michael are a modern-day couple, and Sarah — perhaps as yet unbeknownst to herself — is pregnant with a future daughter, Joanne. Quite a practical way to circumvent haunts!
