We have a lot of humanities majors among our contributors; as one of them I’ve always excused my ineptness at making change with “I didn’t major in arithmetic.” Now I’ll have to think of another excuse, because it does no justice to Jason Earls’ specialty. Jason is the first mathematician I know of among our contributors; he has several publications to his credit on number theory. His story “Hand of Something” in this issue tells me that Jason might be a good teacher: it shows us mathematics in a way I’d never imagined before.
Fortunately for us, Jason is also a talented writer. He’s specialized in poetry so far and has published widely. And now he’s moving into short stories.
Please check Jason’s biography.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Jason. We look forward to hearing from you again soon in both poetry and prose.
