Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Tom Hooker
Tom is from northern Mississippi and has a degree in Business from the University of Mississippi. He and his family have been living in Hendersonville, North Carolina since 1988. He has published widely and won a top award in 2012. He is a member of the Appalachian Round Table and Blue Ridge Writers’ Group. He has taught a creative writing course at Blue Ridge Community College.
“A Case of Petit Mal” will surprise and engage readers by turning the “superhero” genre upside down. Readers will sympathize with likeable young Pete, who has a paranormal talent that enables him to protect others from harm.
But Pete is a kind of Rodney Dangerfield of superheroes, one who gets no respect or gratitude for his good deeds. Pete will also find he needs mission support, and — in a very nice touch — it comes from a kindred spirit who has resolved the problem of costuming that puzzled Pete for a long time.
