Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Richard LeBlond
Richard is a retired field biologist but majored in English because he wanted to be a novelist. A conscientious search for his writer’s voice has led him to find a place in the genre of the essay.
“Tea with the Grizzlies” is taken from real life. Readers will surely be impressed with the dangers of firefighting in the northern wilderness, and the prospect of encountering wild animals echoes another story in this issue. But readers will also enjoy the wry humor in the author’s voice. Sometimes human beings can be a bigger obstacle than large animals when it comes to resupplying firefighters stranded on a remote mountaintop.
