“The Squirrel Eaters” will immediately engage readers with its humorous account of a country family’s dietary preferences and then fascinate them with the story of a rescued bunny rabbit’s education and adventures. It may not be giving too much away to note that the bunny is no Peter Rabbit; he’s quite resourceful. In fact, if he could talk, he might be able to say with the suave coolth of James Bond, "The name is Daniels. Godfrey Daniels.”
