Bewildering Stories welcomes...
John Grayson Heide
John is a member of the Northern California Redwood Writers. His novel and screenplay adaptation have earned notable recognition, and his short stories have appeared in a literary journal and an anthology.
“Going Down” starts out as a story of a mugging but, when an elevator stalls, two more stories emerge: Lenny’s and Albert’s. Careful reading will reveal that small “brushstrokes” can go a long way, such as Albert’s remembering to say “Please.” Readers will surely appreciate this example of a potential tragedy that is turned into a comedy of redemption without lapsing into sentimentality.
