“Pop Goes the Phobia” recounts the career of Eugene, who, from childhood, has always wanted to be a professional clown. But a traumatic experience at the hands of young bullies at an early age has left him with a phobia of balloons. And balloons are one of a clown’s standard props. What can one conclude but that being a clown is a very serious business and can even border on the tragic.
