Bewildering Stories welcomes...
A. M. Townsend
A. M. studied Creative Writing and Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has taught philosophy at the college level for a long time. She enjoys writing fiction and non-fiction.
“Psychedelic Sunrise” will amuse readers with the plight of Meredith and her fiancé, Farley, who are the “reasoners” in a comedy of manners. They are surrounded by the faintly grotesque world of high fashion on one hand and, on the other, by an absurd hillbilly UFO cult. But the comic characters — fashionista Janice and crackpot inventor Henri — are very interesting and even likable in their own ways. Readers will surely come away with the feeling that the world would be dull without them.
