Lisa Phipps

Lisa hails from Long Lake country, in Minnesota. She has a degree in elementary education and now lives with her family on a ranch in Montana. Lisa has written two children’s novels and stories for several publications. She says she hopes her stories will inspire readers to do the right thing and make the world a better place.

“Mandy’s Song” will surely impress readers as achieving Lisa’s ambition. A professional singer, Keri, befriends and aids Mandy, a lonely girl who is bravely carrying an accidental pregnanacy to term. Keri’s seeking a hideaway in anonymity may strike readers as an unlikely stretch, but hey, stranger things have happened, right? The important thing is that an artist is there, when and where she’s most needed. The story concludes like the old Shaker “dancing” hymn: “by turning, turning, we come around right.”
