Matthew McAyeal

Matthew is from Portland, Oregon and has published several short stories and screenplays.

Across the Wall tells of a wall designed to keep people away from each other. Heidi Baumann feels mysteriously drawn to the wall and constantly returns to it. That’s dangerous for her, because she lives in East Berlin. The story illustrates how politics and walls can affect people’s lives both in the Cold War and today.
