C.Q. lives in Gainesville, Florida and has several degrees from the University of Florida. C.Q. has a large family and writes fiction and poetry, which, C.Q. says, is influenced by many well-known authors.

Thicker Than Blood is a heroic epic adapted to a dystopian world mired in an endless war reminiscent of all the wars of the 20th century. Isabel, a soldier home on leave, would like nothing better than to be reassigned away from the ceaseless, pointless combat. But she can accomplish her goal only by betraying her father. What is life worth without humanity? That is the question that confronts her.
