Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Joshua Kamin
Joshua lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he enjoys the scenery with outdoor activities. He’s also passionate about exploring the area between dream and reality.
“Our Little Sanctuaries” will intrigue readers with its depiction of a student, Galen, who leads a Kafkaesque kind of existence: isolated, with an increasingly strange view of the world outside his room. Is he delusional? Does he have hallucinations? Probably both, but his perceptions — be they real or imagined — certainly seem real to him.
The experience is no “dream” for Galen, because he never wakes up. Readers will have questions to ponder: if Galen turns his back on both Kafka and Camus, where is he and where is he going?
