Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Richard Murray
Richard lives with his family in Michigan. He’s owned a computer store and has had a lifelong interest in science, with a specialty in astrophotography. We can cite a fellow contributor, Richard Ong, who has the same interest.
“Troubled Times” turns upside down a time-honored topic in science fiction. Time travelers normally go back in time and try to prevent something bad from taking place. But what might happen if some really bad people built a time machine? What havoc could they wreak?
Thus, on one hand, the story is quite dark. On the other hand, the story is also comical. Do readers — and even writers — really want to know how to build a time machine? The long answer is in the story, but it can be summed up safely without giving anything away: “Don’t ask.” A time machine is a dramatic device, not a gadget!
