J. M. lives with her family in California. She is a graduate of Ohio State University and would like to prove that a degree in English doesn’t guarantee a “life in the unemployment line.”

“Hansel and Gretel: The Teenage Years” gives a twist to a classic fairytale, one that is dark to begin with. The “twist” turns it into a frightening, pitch-black cautionary tale about families in which dysfunction grows from the ground up. Halloween isn’t over, and it can be all too real.
