“The Old Man and the Pond”
with John B. Rosenman
Don, I’m reading issue 669. “The Old Man and the Pond” is wonderful. Poignant and sad. I can tell the writer has observed ponds closely and the ducks and other creatures they support. I knew a surprise was coming at the end, but I didn’t quite guess it.

Thanks for the feedback, John! I think you’ve summed up very nicely the reaction of most readers. I’m always glad to receive such messages and forward them to authors; they’re just plain good for everybody’s morale.
