Margi Desmond

Margi has published articles and short stories prolifically in various mystery magazines and is a member of three mystery writers associations. She is also a judge for the annual Colorado Book Awards and the Daphne du Maurier Award.

“Window of Opportunity” is an unusual little mystery story. The reader knows well in advance “whodunit,” but that isn’t the point. Rather, the story is really about long-suffering Shorty and Mavis. And, somehow, the family layabout, Earl, seems to have a few traits in common with Officer Tutwater. Maybe there’s a lesson in there somewhere for no-account Earl.
