Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Daniel Tierney
Daniel lives in New York. He’s a Vietnam veteran and former Rare Books librarian. He’s tried hs hand at acting nad has always been writing. Recently, he was a prize finalist for one short story, and another has been accepted for an anthology.
“Weeping Willows” may have something to do with Buddhism, which Daniel says he practices. The story is very unusual in form, because it recalls in its own way Blake’s famous “eternity in an hour.”
Lilith asks an innocuous question and, while it’s being answered, her whole life passes episodically before her eyes. Is “Weeping Willows” a story in the formal sense, or is it a kind of lyrical essay that illustrates all time contained in a single moment? It may prompt readers to ponder the meaning of the moments in their own lives.
