Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Patrick Hueller
Patrick has an MFA degree from the University of Minnesota. He has published both mainstream and genre fiction. He’s a big fan of Star Wars.
“Sigh, O Narnia” may strike readers, at first glance, as having far more “he said” speech tags than necessary. But they’re actually a deft way of communicating the voice of a young boy. Both he and his “babysitter,” Ryan, are alienated from their parents.
Ryan and the little boy each take different avenues of escape. Ryan is a budding con artist perhaps destined for a life of crime. His young charge, who admires him without knowing what Ryan is doing, takes another tack, ever deeper into his fantasy world. The boy’s venture gives the title a double meaning.
