Dear Jerry,
Thanks for the kind review. My next book and first solo one is due out in Jan. 2004 as a paperback. It is simply titled Dying Days (featuring a blurb from the David Drake on the back cover!!!!) As you can imagine I am slightly looking forward to it.
Also thanks for the “real writer” comment. I do try hard at it. I wish Bewildering Stories all the best and hope to have some more fiction published in your e-pages one day when I have time. It is nice to see how BWS has grown from its humble beginnings to the thriving webzine that it is now.
For those BWS readers who are interested, Space Stations and Graveyards is now available on Amazon.com and Bn.com if you are interested in checking out some of my earlier stories.
And on a final note, “a good zombie film” is often an oxymoron but there are some great films that happen to be zombie movies like Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead and 28 Days Later, which I will stand by and defend until the day I die.
Later,
Eric S. Brown
Which, being a zombie yourself, has already happened...
Seriously, I was just picking on you, and your “love of zombies.”
Jerry
As I recall, Night of the Living Dead and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre are credited with having completely reinvented the horror film.
Don
