Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Robert O’Connor
Robert lives in Moorhead, Minnesota. He has had a long career in university teaching. His courses have included Honors Composition, British Romantic Lirterature and Fantasy and Science Fiction. He has published poetry, fiction, critical articles and book reviews extensively.
“The Snow Leopard” is one of the more unusual works we’ve had in the history of Bewildering Stories: an epic poem. The Victorian word order lends the poem a kind of quaint or old-fashioned tone, and the rhyme scheme is by no means monotonous!
The structure is also unorthodox. The “chess pieces” are not aligned in starting position, so to speak, at the outset. Rather, the story is structured as a mystery and starts in the middle game. The reader finds out in part III what the symbolism refers to.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Robert. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
