Bewildering Stories welcomes...
JD DeHart
JD is from Tennessee. He’s an English teacher and has published short fiction extensively.
In “Begets,” the professor is mild-mannered almost to a fault. How can he keep from laughing out loud or going bats at some of the students’ questions? Well, tune in to talk radio or some TV “news” channels and you’ll find comments and conversations equally or more bizarre. But the professor is a good teacher; he interacts with his students rather than lecture at them.
Does the professor die at the end of the story, when he hears a loud noise? One would hope not; he is likeable. The gist seems to be that we should be careful what we imagine the “end time” to be; our “metaphors” might come true!

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, JD. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
