Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Allison Przylepa
Allison lives in Atlanta and has long had an interest in the occult. She says she’s come to the conclusion that magic is an undiscovered science, something like early physics and quantum mechanics. She’s adopted an old but relatively little known figure, Baphomet, as a kind of familiar entity.
“A Lucid Dream” doesn’t really overstep Bewildering Stories’ guideline that plots must not end with “But it was all a dream” or the equivalent, because the story does not logically cancel itself out. Rather it can be read as a kind of essay in a figurative mode, perhaps even a meditation. The character of Baphomet is charming and has an ironic sense of humor.
