Sophia Boettcher

Sophie is pursuing a double major in Computer Science and German Studies at Santa Clara University. She also teaches English as a second language. She writes restaurant reviews and works as a freelance technical writer and consultant. And she has a lot of varied and interesting ambitions!

“Killer App” may cause the reader to look askance or at least cautiously at hand-held devices, lest they get too smart for their own good and not smart enough for the user’s. Does the story overstep our guideline about plots that end “but it was all a dream” or the equivalent? The story is so much rollicking — and, at times, disquieting — fun that nobody will notice.
