Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Philip Davies
Phil’s education has been as a photographer and sculptor, but his “day job” has been in managing software development. He has turned to writing fiction in recent years. He has published non-fiction, such as reviews and interviews, and was a photographic contribuor to a volume on the history of Lancashire.
“The Arianthids” is a story about a child, but it is hard to call it a children’s story. Little Mary wishes mightily that she had parents who cared for her and were not always fighting and drinking. As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for. Little Mary finds herself having to deal with beings that look even scarier than her parents act.
