Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Colleen Halupa
Colleen says she is a college professor by day and an “avid horror fan” by night. Colleen, I imagine that both you and your students may be relieved that it’s not the other way around!
Colleen has had a 20-year career in the military and now lives with her family in the countryside, with lots of dogs and cats. She vividly remembers growing up in the anthracite coal country of Pennsylvania.
“The Mr. Sammy Incident” is a memoir set in the region of Colleen’s home town, where fires burn in abandoned mines under the town and quiet desperation undermines some of the people in their own ways. The memoir is remarkable for communicating a sense of authenticity.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Colleen. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
