Heidi Kraay

Heidi lives in Boise, Idaho. She has a degree in Theater Arts from Boise State University and works in theater and music production. She also teaches creative writing. She enjoys “bridging gaps between genres” and has had considerable success in publishing fiction as well as in writing and producing plays locally and in New York.

“Running From Magic” can be read as a kind of cautionary tale. The superheroes of cartoons and fantasy have superpowers, of course, but what if those superpowers became real? How might their magical quality affect someone who did not heed the proverb “Be careful what you wish for; you might get it”? Superpowers may not be all they’re cracked up to be.
