Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Shane Decoteaux Bates
“S. Decoteaux” as his preferred byline reads, majored in Literary Studies at the University of Massachusetts, with a specialty in James Joyce. He has since participated in writing seminars in the U.S. and Europe. He’s had many different positions of employment, plays musical instruments and gardens in addition to writing.
“The Borromean Cycle” is part essay, part short story. Its self-referential nature, provided by the “exegesis,” puts it over the top in the genre of the fictional review, the result being a blend of S. J. Perelman and Stanislaw Lem.
