Bewildering Stories welcomes...
M. P. Arizona
A native of Mississippi, M. P. has lived in many parts of the U.S. before settling in North Carolina. She worked in data processing in the early days of information technology. She has a degree in psychology.
“A Creek in Michigan” reads like a dramatized psychiatric case study. The unnamed narrator’s childhood playmate, Wart, turns out to be a phase in a dissociative personality disorder, something the narrator learns only after therapy years later. One wonders how the girl — and in later life, the woman — felt about Wart and what that mode of existence meant to her.
