Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Peggy Toney Horton
Peggy lives near Charleston, West Virginia. She’s been publishing short stories and essays in the Charleston newspaper for several years. A book of hers has been a best-seller in China for the past two years. She has also published widely in print and on the Net.
“She Did It Her Way” is a touching memoir about the author’s mother, evidently a remarkable person who knew what she enjoyed in life and was not about to let others — no matter how well-meaning — talk her out of it.
It’s very easy to understand why the author might wish her mother had taken “better care of herself.” But would her mother have lived any better or longer? Would she have been happier? Would she have been the mother Peggy misses?
