Is “Pointland” flash fiction or a prose poem? A coin toss came up prose poem. But “Pointland” does tell a story, one of a philosophical journey through a landscape of Buddhism, mathematics, and string theory.

But what if the traveler does ultimately reach the Point? Is it just another station in Lavoisier’s nature, where nothing is lost and nothing is created but everything is transformed? Or is it a singularity in M-theory, which leads to yet another journey in the Mysterious Multiverse?
