Bewildering Stories welcomes...
David Harker
David lives in a 17th-century watermill on the border between England and Wales. He enjoys landscape photography as well as writing prose and poetry.
“Dream Date” probably oversteps Bewildering Stories’ restriction on stories that end “But it was all a dream.” However, the dreamer himself is real and as such deserves the benefit of the doubt. The fantasy is quite colourful, and the character Keith deserves credit for imagining having a truly exotic “date.”
Readers may wonder, though, how Keith could possibly understand what the lady says to him. Maybe their local dialects are related and haven’t drifted all that far apart in three centuries. And at any rate the lady talks very slowly.
David Harker’s bio sketch can be found here.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, David. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
