Mike Florian

Mike lives in North Vancouver and has returned to writing after a long and successful career in the fishing trade in the Pacific Northwest and in pet-food production. He has published short fiction extensively in many e-zines, journals and newspapers.

“Adam’s Family” recalls the “everyday macabre” cartoons of Charles Addams as well as the TV series they inspired. Like Mike himself, young Adam loves animals. But unlike the author, Adam prefers images and stuffed animals to real ones. But that’s okay, just let Adam decorate the walls of his room as he wishes and don’t mess with him — lest you wind up as a trophy on his wall.
