no holiday beach
no desert resort.

In this compressed horizon
brimful, rimful of rusty dust
devoid of human scale.

Not the tranquillity crater
moon base
close to home.

Opportunity is on a one-way trip.
Unmanned. A rover.
Intrepid.

‘Here is a bowl of indigo pink Arp’s Loop soup, swirled with a clockwise twist and finished off with a dollop of perfect gold like Cornish cream. And for dessert, a little Milky Way.
