Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Graham Debenham
Graham is a native of London, England but has lived in Australia for almost thirty years. He lives with his family in Sydney, where he works as a paramedic.
Graham has published short stories in print and on line, and a novel is due to appear in mid-year. His favorite genres are science fiction and horror.
“Past Imperfect” is a short novella that deals with the time-honored theme of revisiting and improving upon the past. It contains some surprises: the hero, Nigel Compton, discovers that time travel is not what it’s cracked up to be and that rectifying regrets may inadvertently cause others — fixing what ain’t broke, as the saying goes.
The story’s narration resurrects a point of view that is old-fashioned today, but it’s all the more refreshing for taking a new look at a style skillfully employed by venerated masters of the novel.
