Jeff lives with his family in the southern U.S., where he works as a manager in petroleum distribution. In his writing he says he’s seeking to revive a “subversive genre” called Weird Menace.

If “weird menace” is anything like the monsters from the Rift in “Fade to Blue,” it’s weird, all right, and subversive in a way. The story is an action thriller in which the hero is guilt-ridden that his wife has been taken captive as a kind of illegal alien. He sets out to rescue her — by any means necessary — from both monsters and men.
