What Ever Happened to
Tea — and Sympathy?

‘What did your last one die of?’
‘Sarcasm. Killed her stone dead, it did.’

I only wanted a cup of
tea and I get all this instead.

Hot tongue, cold shoulder,
freezing cold in bed.
Women get like it as they get older
Bert said — his Missus is just as bad.

‘What if I decided to have a menopause too?’
‘Men don’t have menopauses. And it’s not a choice.’

No, of course. Women don’t do decisions. They do
excuses, moods and ultimatums and then protest a lack of voice.
