Bewildering Stories welcomes...
L. J. Geoffrion
L.J. lives on the southern shore of Lake Superior in a large house with lots of people and pets. She works as a substance abuse counselor while studying for a degree in Nursing. She’s also had respectable success in publishing fiction.
“Rehab Center, Third Shift” has a certain structural humor to it. The standard supernatural predator story normally has only one central character, and sure enough there is one in the Rehab Center. But at the appropriate witching hour, L. J. pulls an ace out of her sleeve, in effect: “I'll call your werewolf and raise you a vampire.” But of course there’s more to the story than game-playing. The reader comes away with the feeling that tough patients need equally tough nurses.
