Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Tom Sheehan
Tom Sheehan is a multiple prize-winning author of short stories, which have appeared in at least two anthologies, and he’s helped put together a collection of friends’ memoirs about his home town. Tom was an athlete in college and is a Korean War veteran. He officially sets the record as the oldest known contributor to Bewildering Stories at age 93. (Cyrano de Bergerac is 390, but he had a head start.)
“The Salting” is distinguished by its poetic prose and its borrowing from the legend of Lot’s wife. The combination gives the girl Midlin Ambeau an almost mythological status, because she possesses a fearsome paranormal talent. However, Midlin admits she cannot control it, and it can do justice or wreak havoc indifferently.
Tom Sheehan’s bio sketch can be found here.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Tom. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
