Ronald E. Heinrich

Ron asks us to call him Gene, by his middle name. He’s a cultural anthropologist and lives in the Catskill mountains of New York state. His profession leads him to study cultures around the world, but he also enjoys reading and writing fiction.

“Garbage Child” is a story of an abandoned infant. It gains power by taking a very surprising and unconventional point of view, that of an adult trapped in the infant’s body. From there it’s a short step to talking insects...
