Past the Point of No Return
by Anna Ruiz
past the point of no return
the fatigue of living wears me out,
I have lived and died
an infinity of stars
flickering
with the brightest light,
we are moonchildren
and grandmother warriors
with grandfather dreams
of daylight,
we resemble
little earthquakes of joy
and mountains of sorrow
we wear the cloth of
self, draped over thin frames,
fraying
at the seams,
seemingly
we abandon ourselves.
