Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Randy Ellefson
Randy lives with his family and cats in the Washington, DC area, where he works as a software developer. He has a degree in classical guitar and has made two albums of instrumental rock music and published articles on guitar music.
Randy has also written two fantasy novels and has started on a third. They feature new species to replace the traditional elves, dwarves, dragons, etc.
“The Insultalon” is unlike his novels in that it’s a modern story. It describes a declamation decathlon from Hell, where the participants insult each other. The story contains two examples. The “free soliloquy,” which is a marvel of self-pity, and the other, much smaller example may make one wonder whether some radio talk shows aren’t mini-“insultalons” in their own right.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Randy. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
