Sue Parman

Sue Parman says she lives two lives. More like five or six, judging by her bio. She works days as a professor of anthropology; by night she writes short stories, novels, plays, haiku, and sonnets. Some of her favorite genres in fiction: mainstream, travel, science fiction, and detective stories.

Sue has lived in the east, midwest and southwest of the U.S. and now in California. She has published widely on such topics as Scottish crofters, dreams, nicknames, and the history of ideas. We are trying to inveigle Prof. Parman into sharing some of her work with us.

“Tom Cat and the Bone Lady” is a mystery set in an academic environment and permeated by dark comedy. Readers will chuckle at the characters, whom they’ll surely find to be extraordinarily droll and colorful, even faintly absurd. Ah... not so fast there...
