Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Gerry Mandel
After a thirty-year career in advertising, Gerry has started writing short stories, articles, and humorous commentaries. One of this short stories was a competition finalist. He says it’s a welcome relief from writing TV spots, and he’s even written a novel about Charlie Chaplin.
“The Meeting of the Friends of the Forlorn Society” is actually more a vignette than a short story, but we’re glad to include it by exception; the literary “photograph” of the friends and their reunion raises questions, such as: since the “friends” are far less poor than they look at first, how come they’re so rich? And what is the “forlorn society,” in the final analysis?

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Gerry. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
