Bewildering Stories welcomes...
K. Bruce Justice
With a degree in religion and a career in the navy, Bruce was well equipped, one imagines, for a second career in teaching middle school. Bruce is now semi-retired and living in Arkansas, along with a number of other contributors to Bewildering Stories.
“The Portrait” is an interior monologue that we’ve chosen to classify as a prose poem. It meets the challenge of depicting sentiment — in this case, unending anguish for a deceased love — without lapsing into sentimentality.
K. Bruce Justice’s bio sketch can be found here.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Bruce. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
