I lay amid dreams my mind escapes
To earlier times fog draped
Evil times that are now still
I revisit often Chapel Hill
Cold damp nights Id adorn my cape
I wander the darkness my deed cannot wait!
In search of comfort and erotic pleasure
I seek my prey to reap the treasure
What occurs next I do not redeem
For alas I have forgotten, but not the scream!
Back to the darkness, I roam no more
Soon – I will up the score
To my room I retire – warmth of the fire
While on the streets the killer is sought
Will they find me – nay, I think naught!
For here I sit with pipe and slipper
And read of me
Jack the Ripper
