Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Marjorie Salzwedel
Marjorie has been all over the place geographically; she’s lived in Illinois, Colorado, New York City, Long Island, San Francisco, and now in Florida.
It’s also hard to keep up with Marjorie’s artistic career: she’s a veritable whirlwind. She’s published a lot of short stories and poems, but one suspects that her favorite has been the stage; she’s performed in numerous productions and has studied acting very seriously.
“The Caboose” engrosses the reader with its extensive use of symbolic realism. The atmosphere reflects the weariness that can afflict old age as well the often wrong-headed impulsiveness of youth. At the end, the circus “family” must choose between seeking refuge in the past or venturing into the unknown, led by a conductor whose word they can take only on faith.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Marjorie. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
