“Genshi Bakudan” takes a well-known event in U.S. history — the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki — and turns it around. The science fiction story is an alternate history comfortably far from our own, but its premise is all too plausible: “What yesterday was another’s fate may be yours today.”

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Kevin. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
